All about FORMS

HTML pages are a great way to tell the world about...well, whatever you want to tell the world. Forms allow your visitors to give you information. Before we go off and create some forms, let's go over the basics to make a form work.

a <FORM> tag within the body of your html document
a script (small program) that will parse (process) the data collected in the form
Some way to collect information:
1. Checkboxes
2. Option or Radio Buttons
3. Text fields.
4. Password fields
5. Blah blah Text Areas
6. Menus (drop down lists)
7. Buttons

Forms can also be used for useful things, like only giving users information that they request or need. It is a way to customize the information that you are pushing at them. Hey, don't forget to do this weeks homework!
